Funeral Services for Mr. James Roland McNeil, 74, will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. with Bro. Charles Dupree of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church and Bro. Wesley Pittman officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery, West Monroe, LA.
Mr. McNeil was born on January 19, 1935 in Choudrant, LA. and died January 16, 2010, at his home in West Monroe, LA after a short illness.
Mr. McNeil was an employee of Riverwood International Paper Mill (Graphic Packaging) for 41 years retiring in 1997 as a Tour Foreman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ras Roland McNeil and Marie Lindsay McNeil and his son, James Roland "Chip" McNeil, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Taylor McNeil of West Monroe; sister, Beth McNeil White and husband, Clarence, of Start; two daughters, Cathy McNeil Yelverton and husband, Richard; and Christy McNeil Stubbs, both of West Monroe and one step-son, Jeff LaCaze and wife, Melinda of Crosby, TX. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Clarence White, Scott Kadar, Jerry Lindsay, Jerry Cascio, Billy Miley, and Harold Henry.
Honorary pallbearers are Ken Lindsay and Clarence "Ace" Chandler.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, January 18th at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home-West Monroe.
