Funeral services for William Billy Tubb, 74, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at First Baptist Church Sanctuary, West Monroe. Dr. Mark Fenn will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.He was born at home in Dubach, LA on Feb. 9, 1940. He gave his heart to Jesus at the age of eight and went to live with Jesus on September 2, 2014. Billy moved to West Monroe at the age of 10 after living in Savannah, GA for 8 years.Billy was predeceased by his parents, Opal and W. W. (Red) Tubb.He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Wilhite Tubb, daughters: Donna Tubb Thomason (Brad); Dianna Tubb Milton (David); sons: David Tubb (Aimee); Daniel Tubb (Jayne); grandchildren: Allison Tubb; Danielle Milton Day (Alex); Victoria Thomason Sutherland (Joshua); Alexandra Thomason Cates (David); Drew Milton; Zachary Tubb; Charlie Thomason; Ashley Tubb; great- granddaughter: Elizabeth “Lizzie” Day; sister: Glenda Tubb Ezell (Dale); brother-in-law: J.W. Wilhite (Cynthia): and nieces, nephews and cousins.Billy was a master auto upholsterer, auto restorer, and owner of Tubb's Decorator Center for 22 years before retiring. He could do anything and did everything well.He was a member of the Pathfinder's Sunday School class, church choir, and a life-time deacon of First Baptist Church of West Monroe.Pallbearers are: Charles Hogan, Joel Jones, Keith Majure, William Harris, Jack Murphy, and Derrick Gentry.Honorary Pallbearers are members of the Pathfinder's Sunday School class and deacon's of First Baptist Church.Special thanks to LA Hospice, Serenity Care and Mr. Anitwon Hawkins for their compassionate care of Billy. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church, West Monroe, or the Ministry of Inspirational Therapy, P.O. Box 1333, West Monroe, LA 71294.Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2014 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
