July 27, 1964 - January 14, 1993
Oil City, La. - Services for Lawrence O. Bodin, Jr., 28, will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, January 17, 1993 at the Vivian United Pentecostal Church. Officiating will be Rev. Ralph Helms, pastor of the Vivian United Pentecostal Church. Burial will be in the Vivian Cemetery under the direction of McGuire Funeral Home. Mr. Bodin died Thursday, January 14, 1993 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born July 27, 1964 in Vivian and had lived in Oil City for the past 11 years. He was a rig operator and a member of the Vivian United Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his wife, Terri Lynn Furgeison Bodin of Oil City; his mother, Ozella Bodin of Shreveport; five sisters, Mary Furgeison of Oil City, Patsy Smith of Oil City, Jean Broussard of Oil City, Doris Townsend of Texas, Susie Hughes of Minden; five brothers, Troy Hughes, Sr. of Oil City, Clarence Bodin of Shreveport, Loris Bodin of Mooringsport, Elton Bodin of Longview, Preston Bodin of Louisiana. Pallbearers will be Jerry Younce, James Heflin, Tony Furgeison, Tommy Smith, Ernest Furgeison, Eddie Broussard and Eddie Brownlee. (Shreveport Times - January 16, 1993)
