Funeral services for Mr. Washington will be held at 10 am on Tuesday April 8, at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.W. Crow officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Monday April 7, from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Washington was a retired pipefitter with Union #211 of Houston, TX. He was a member of Twin Lakes Country Club, a member of the Outlaw Breakfast Club, and a member of the Texas City Bass Club. He is survived by 2 sons: Ricky Washington and wife Judy of Texas City, TX and Michael Washington of Texas City, TX; 1 daughter: Sandra Hoogterp and husband Keith of Seabrook, TX; grandchildren Courtney and Joshua Washington, Katie Batson, Sean Harrison, Jake Hoogterp, and Brooke New; 3 brothers: Jimmy Washington of Shreveport, LA, Floyd Washington of Vivian, LA, and Lloyd Washington of Monroe, LA; 1 sister: Mary Ruth Shelton of San Antonio, TX; numerous Nieces and Nephews. Internment will follow at Vivian Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Barr, Rusty Cross, Brian Cross, Mike Cross, Dusty Cross, Keith Cross, and Charlie Warren: Honorary Pallbearers Bill Bratson, Howard C. Barr, David Cross, Kenneth Cross, Charles New, Glenn McGill.
