Rebecca (Becky) Alma Speer Hall, 75, of Vivian, LA passed away on Tuesday, August2, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday; August 4, 2016 at Vivian United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Hulen Warren. There will be a time of visitation from 1 pm until the time of service. Burial will follow at Vivian Cemetery.
Becky was born October 3, 1940 in Shreveport, LA to Dr. Seals Samuel Speer and Minnie Alma Speer. She lived in Vivian most of her life. She was a member of Vivian United Methodist Church; Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Louisiana Beta Chapter. Becky was a member of the United Methodist Women, and a charter member of the Louisiana Redbud Association.
Becky was preceded in death by her brother Seals Samuel Speer, Jr, and her parents. She is survived by her husband Ronald Eugene Hall, her children: Julie Ann Hall Catha and husband Christopher, Rebecca Lynn Hall Mitchell and husband Lt. Col. Shane Mitchell, and Ronald (Lee) Eugene Hall, Jr. and wife Melissa, her 3 sisters: Charlotte Speer Caldwell, Jennifer Speer Swilling and Lisa Patrice Speer Thomas, her grandchildren: Haylee Alyse Mitchell, Taylor Rebecca Catha, Cody Shane Mitchell, and Parker Lee Hall.
Pallbearers will be Shane Mitchell, Chris Catha, Boe Caldwell, Cody Mitchell, Seth Thomas, and Heath Thomas. Honorary pallbearers are Lt. Col. Robert C. (Fud) Caldwell, Jan D. Norris, William R. Self, Charlie B. Moore, James E. Woolridge, and James (Jimmy) Woods.
