Charles Ray “Charlie” Alexander, 77, of Vivian, Louisiana passed away October 3, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the Church on the Rock in Blanchard, Louisiana officiated by Rev Rhuel Young. There will be a time of visitation from 2 pm until service time at the church. Burial will follow at Vivian Cemetery.

Charlie was born May 9, 1940 in Smyrna, Texas where he lived until the age of 8 when his family moved to Vivian. He married Cindy Sue Smith June 11, 1960; he was a loving and faithful husband who loved God, his parents, his wife, his children and his grand- children. Charlie worked his way up to be a very successful business man, owning Charlie’s Auto Sales in Vivian and numerous real estate properties. He loved antique cars and airplanes; he enjoyed flying his own planes until his health wouldn’t allow it. He loved getting up every morning at 4:30 and going to his car lot. Charlie had numerous friends that would visit him at his car lot and shoot the bull.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife Cindy Sue Alexander, his four beautiful children; David Eric Alexander and wife Susan, Lisa Alexander Young and husband Rhuel, Charles (Chuck) Alexander and Alyson Alexander Manwaring and husband William, eight grandchildren Courtney, Colby, Lacey, Haley, Erica, Ethan, Avery and Cayden and 1 great grandchild, Cason. He is also survived by his brother Neal Alexander and a numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Colby Young, Justin Sanders, Chuck Alexander, David Alexander, Clyde Green, and Cayden Alexander.
