Dr John Dale died at his residence in Tallulah last Saturday morning, February 26, after a short illness.
Dr Dale was born in Bolivar County, Mississippi forty-one years ago, but some years ago he became a resident of Tallulah. He built up a good practice in his profession, dentistry, and from the start identified himself with every movement towards the upbuilding of his adopted home. He was a man of good judgment and firm convictions and was recognized as one of the town's most substantial citizens.
He leaves a mother, wife, who before her marriage was Miss Genevieve Anderson, four children, a brother, Robert Dale of Helena, Arkansas, and a sister, Mrs Lilly Matthews of Utica, Mississippi
He was a Mason, a large number of the order assisting at the funeral ceremony which was conducted at the Tallulah Cemetery.
The town has lost a valuable worker - the family a devoted member.
