Cairo, Illinois. On Roll not dated of Prisoners of War at Camp Douglas, Illinois, applying for Oath of Allegiance February _, 1865. Remarks: Claims to have been loyal; was captured and desires to take the Oath of Allegiance to U S and become a loyal citizen. Released on Oath of Allegiance to U S from Camp Douglas, Illinois, May 12, 1865. Residence Tensas Parish, Louisiana. Complexion fair, hair gray, eyes blue, height 5 feet 11 inches. Remarks: Quincy, Illinois.
