BOGALUSA - H. Addison "Red" McCain, 77, a resident of Route 9, Franklinton, died at 6:14 p.m. Sunday, February 24th, at the Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.

McCain served as constable of the Third Ward of Washington Parish for the past several years, was a member of the Poplar Head Missionary Baptist Church near Franklinton, and was a retired employee of Crown-Zellerbach.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Talma Knight McCain, and a son, Charles A. McCain.

He is survived by a grandson, Jeffrey McCain of Franklinton; a granddaughter, Mrs. Gail Bufkin of Metairie; two brothers, J. D. McCain and Marvin McCain, both of Franklinton; a sister, Mrs. Oneal (Leona) Sheridan of Franklinton and by several nieces and nephews.

The body lay in state at the Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton until the time for funeral services, which were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 26th, in the funeral home chapel with Elder Glynn Edwin officiating.

Interment was in the Poplar Head Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jimmy McCain, Robert Branch, Russell Sheridan, Jimmy Bankston, Cedric James, and Hayward Luper.
