Willie J. McCain
Willie J. McCain, 66, a resident of the Poplarhead community died at 7 pm Saturday at St. Tammany Hospital in Covington.
He was a retired mechanic, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Poplarhead Missionary Baptist Church.
Mr. McCain is survived by his wife, Alice Rogers McCain of Franklinton; three sons, Wilton McCain, Allen McCain, and Jerry McCain, all of Franklinton; one daughter, Patricia Temples of Pine; his mother, Velma McCain of Franklinton; two sisters, Wilda Luper and Delia Creel both of Franklinton and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Emile McCain.
Visitation was held at the Crain Funeral Home from 6 pm until 10 pm Sunday and after 8 am Monday.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Willie J. Passman and Eld. John Inabbnitt officiating.
Burial followed in the Poplarhead Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service were Larry Magee, Ronnie Magee, Mike Saucier, Gabriel Luper, Clay Fricke, and Bernard Fricke.
