July 12, 1927 - March 28, 2001
Elmer Richard Smith, 73, a resident of Corpus Christi, Texas and native of Bogalusa died Wednesday in Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was a World War II Veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Geri Rosenberg Smith of Corpus Christi; son, Richard Smith of Picayune, Mississippi; daughters, Sandra Sorrells of Ponchatoula, Louisiana and Rochelle Barr of Friendwood, Texas; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Elmer A and Johnnie Boyington Smith.
Masonic services at 7 pm conducted by Center Lodge 244 F & AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of E Richard Smith be made to the American Cancer Society.
