Services to celebrate the life of Kenneth Gerard LaBorde, II, 35 will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, July 31, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home in Haughton, LA. Justin Haigler, pastor of The Simple Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 30, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Hill Crest. Gerard was born January 3, 1982 and was a lifelong resident of Bossier City, LA. Gerard was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Ruby LaBorde, and his maternal great-grandmother, Lois Brooks. He is survived by his loving wife Alena, and his beautiful daughter, Riley Olivia, who was his pride and joy. Gerard is also survived by his mother, Jamie Little Harris; father, Kenny LaBorde and wife Karen; Brothers Adam Harris, Mathew LaBorde and step-brother Justin Spangler; sisters, Allison and Emily LaBorde and Sevanna Scott; grandparents, Ruby and Larry Little; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be: Hayes Alexander, Joe Anderson, Brandon Bradbury, Jackie Brock, Kaleb Foster, Adam Harris, Mathew LaBorde, Brandon Stanfill, and Edward Waynes. Honorary pallbearers will be: Paul Church, Brandon Darlington, Trey Little, Jason Mason and Christian Warrick.
Gerard was a local business man, and was owner/operator of Cloudz Mattress Gallery, The Hotbox Juice Bar and Vaporium, Climax Cotton, and iNseries Mods. Gerard loved fishing, music, and cooking for his family and friends. He was a partner in The Simple Church, and founding member of local band Only A Few. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, and friend. He lived life to the fullest and loved with everything he had. He will be greatly missed.
