BOSSIER CITY, LA - A Funeral Mass for Jo Ann Blackall, 70, will be 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at St. Jude Catholic Church with Father Pike Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Haughton, LA. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. followed by a 7 p. m. vigil, Monday, September 13, 2010 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.

Jo Ann was born September 5, 1940 in Louisville, KY and died September 11, 2010 in Shreveport, LA. Jo Ann was a graduate of St. Vincent Academy, Class of 1959. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She was a former member and 2nd vice regent of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas; former secretary of the American Business Women's Association and was very active in the campaigns of Buddy Roemer for Governor of the State of Louisiana and Ronald Reagan for President of the United States. Jo Ann was a bookkeeper for Medical Transcription Services, Inc.
Her parents Willard Troy and Mae Blackall; sister, Mary Elizabeth Perkins and husband Frank and a niece, Troye Ellen Perkins preceded Jo Ann in death.

She is survived by brothers, Willard Thomas Blackall of Monroeton, PA, Willard Troy Blackall, II of Bossier City; 16 nieces and nephews; 11 great nieces and nephews and 8 great-great nieces and nephews.

Honoring her as pallbearers will be Kennith Perkins, Leslie Perkins, Michael Perkins, Jason Pierce, James Pierce and Bradley Mauldin.
