Alan Lane Perrette, 36, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010 at his residence in Bogalusa.
Alan, born Nov. 18, 1973, was a devoted husband, father and friend. He was an avid hunter and a member of the L & L Hunting Club and Choctaw Hunting Club. He was a member of Superior Avenue Baptist Church and was employed by Temple-Inland.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy O'Quinn Perrette of Bogalusa; one son, Rex Alan Perrette of Bogalusa; one sister, Penny (Justin) Johanson of Ft. Benning, Ga.; his father, Milton Perrette of Bogalusa; his mother and stepfather, Bonnie Simmons Ruiz and Terry Ruiz of White Sand, Miss.; his grandmother, Doris "Dot" Simmons; special cousins: Barbara Lee, Danyon, David, Darryl, Dean, David "Squirrel" and JoAlyn Thomas; his nephew, Patrick Johanson, and goddaughter, Madison Pope; 10 sisters-in-law; and his special 15-year-old dachshunds, Prissy and Daisey.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Lynn Perrette, and his grandparents: Bertha Holden Perrette, Luther "Pinky" Perrette and Wilford Simmons.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 5 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m., and continued on Tuesday at Superior Avenue Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Rev. Clay Norwood officiating. Interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery.
