Isaac Myers enrolled March 12, 1862 in Homer, Louisiana. He was mustered in April 25, 1862 near Gordonsville, Virginia. On November 7, 1863, he was captured at Rappahannock, Virginia. His name appeared on the record as a Prisoner of War at Point Lookout, Maryland, and again as being exchanged on March 10, 1864. On July 9, 1864, he was wounded at Monocacy and captured on July 10, 1864. His name appeared on record as being a Prisoner of War received from US General Hospital, West Buildings, Baltimore, Maryland, September 23, 1864. He arrived at Fort McHenry, Maryland on September 28, 1864, and exchanged on September 30, 1864. On November 26, 1864, he was sent to Louisiana Hospital, Richmond, Virginia. The Medical Directors Office, Richmond, Virginia granted a certificate of disability for the wounds he received in July 1864. His name later appeared on the Roster of Invalid Corps, Athens, Louisiana on December 26, 1864. He was assigned to duty at the Command Post on January 25, 1865. On January 28, 1865, he was discharged and retired from service. The engagements he was involved in consisted of Cold Harbor, 1862; Malvern Hill, 1862; Cedar Mountain, August 9, 1862; Manasas, August 28-30, 1862; Fredericksburg, December 13, 1862 and again on May 4, 1863; 2nd Winchester, 1863; Gettysburg, July 1-3, 1863; Rappahannock Station, 1863; The Wilderness, May 5, 1864, Spottsylvania, May 12, 1864; Richmond, June 1-3, 1864; and Monocacy, July 9, 1864.
