Wife of J Y Parker Sr
Bogalusa- Mrs. J.Y. (Nellie) Parker Sr., 87, died at 4:55 p.m. yesterday in the Bogalusa Community Medical Center. A native of Magnolia MS, she was a long-time resident of Bogalusa.
She was preceded in death by her hsband, J.Y. Parker Sr. and a son, J.Y. Parker Jr.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elmer R (Elizabeth) Creel and a son, David Parker, both of Bogalusa; two brothers, Robert Bruce McLaughlin of Denham Springs and J.W. McLaughlin of Goffstown NH; two sisters, Mrs. Earl S. (Mary) Levy of Baton Rouge and Mrs Ralph (Wilma) Warner of Bogalusa; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be tomorrow from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Poole-Richie Funeral Home chapel, continuing on Wednesday after 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Dr. Perry Hancock will officiate, with interment in Ponemah Cemetery.
