August 23, 1937 - January 22, 2010
Chester Arthur Moody, 72, passed away Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at LSU Bogalusa Medical Center. He was a resident of Bogalusa and a member of Memorial Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Holmes Moody; one son, Steve (Linda) Moody of Gulfport, Miss.; two daughters, Tammy (Jerry) Mixon of Poplarville, Miss. and Patricia Moody and "Danny" of Covington; one brother, James V. moody of Houston; grandchildren Michael Moody, Matthew (Ashley) Moody, Melissa Moody, Michael (Tammy) Taylor, Steven Taylor, Taylor Moody, Alex Bailey, Sommer Kirsh, Jared Mixon, Julian "Bull" Mixon and Jessica Mixon; great-grandchildren Madison Moody, Kaia Taylor and Gracie Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Saxon Moody and Helen Moody Laciura, and one brother, Charles Moody.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Jan. 23 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., and will continue on Sunday from 11 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Gene Richards officiating. Burial will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
