April 6, 1946 - September 25, 2005
George William "Bill" McNabb Sr., age 59, a native of Sandy Hook and a resident of Bogalusa, died Sunday, Sept. 25 in LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Carroll McNabb; his children, Amanda, Rebecca (Sharif "Upsy" Asfour), Monica McNabb, Tonya Sales and George William McNabb III, all of Bogalusa, Duwanna (Susie) Wright, Billy McNabb II, Richard "Ricky" (Christy) McNabb of Colorado; and 13 grandchildren. He was a special PaPa to Hunter and Kayden. He is also survived by two sisters, Treasure Wallace of Bogalusa and Lillie (Leroy) Dykes of Tennessee; two brothers, Jack (Katie) McNabb and Larry (Linda) McNabb; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Kenneth Wells.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. and Bertha McNabb; and a sister, Mamie Sue McNabb.
Visitation was held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 26 from 5 to 10 p.m., continuing on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment followed in Ponemah Cemetery.
