March 28, 1932 - October 11, 2018
Yvette Loury Rosen passed away October 11, 2018, at the age of 86. Born March 28, 1932 in Nice, France to George and Lydie Loury. Yvette is survived by her loving husband of over 60 years, John Charles Rosen; children Anne Lydie Rosen and Robert Loury Rosen; grandchildren Teller John Junak, Sophie Claire Junak, Matthew Charles Rosen and William Leucht Rosen.
Yvette graduated from Newcomb College of Tulane University in New Orleans with a Masters Degree in Education. She was a member of the Board of Directors of The Crosby Arboretum and Les Comédiens Français. She was an avid outdoorsman, backpacker, spinner, gourmet chef, gardener and naturalist.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the family home in Carriere, Mississippi on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Donations may be made in Yvette's memory to “The Crosby Arboretum Foundation” c/o Suzan Wilson, First National Bank of Picayune, 721 Cooper Rd., Picayune, Mississippi 39466 – Reference Yvette Rosen Pavilion.
