Husband of Evelyn Faye Batton Lawrence
Edward H. "Eddie" Lawrence, Sr, age 83, resident of Bogalusa, died Saturday, April 29 in LSU Bogalusa Medical Center. A member of Main Street Baptist Church for over 40 years, he was the owner of Lawrence Motor Supply and a World War II veteran serving in both Pacific and European Campaigns.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Faye B Lawrence; son Eddie (Trudy) Lawrence, Jr of Bogalusa; daughters Beverly (Carl) Merritt, Jr of Poplarville, Mississippi and Brenda Stokes of Bogalusa; grandchildren Billy (Nance) Stokes, Jr, Bradley Stokes, Beth (Tom) Stogner, Brent Stokes, Edy (Daniel) McCurdy, Russell Lawrence, Lauren (Darren) Ezell, Ryan Merritt, Meghan Merritt, Parrish Robbins and Shae Robbins and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents Homer Edward and Maude Russell Lawrence; brothers Robert, Sr, Cecil, Claude, Byron and Roy Lawrence, Sr; sisters Doris Stevenson and Ruth Munn; and son-in-law, Billy Stokes, Sr.
