Robert Ray Keating, age 53, a resident of Bogalusa, died Friday, May 16 in St. Tammany Parish Hospital, Covington. He was born May 17, 1954 to the late J.L. and Maybelle Keating and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed with Texaco Oil Company for 30 years.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Catherine Creel Keating; three children, Christopher (Laura) Keating, Amy Keating (Ricky) and Joshua (Robin) Keating; grandchildren, Derek, Catie, Christopher, Abigail, Ryan, Ray, Amber, Christal, Morgan, Victoria and Vanessa; his mother-in-law, Udene Creel; four sisters, Jeanette Bickham, Delorse Creel, Lois Edwards and Darlene Blackwell; and one brother, Charles Keating.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a baby sister; a grandchild, Katie Keating; his father-in-law, Albert O.C. Creel; and two brothers-in-law, Benny and Jimmy Creel.
Visitation was held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 20 from 6 to 10 p.m., continuing today at 8 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Wesley Quave and the Rev. Colby Meadows will officiate, with interment following in Ponemah Cemetery.
