Henry H "Pete" DiPietro, 81, a resident of Bogalusa died Saturday at his home.

He was a WW II Veteran who earned a Purple Heart while surviving as a POW. He was also a member of Union Avenue Baptist Church.

He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Dale Hines and Lisa DiPietro and Allen Stogner; son and daughter-in-law, Ricco and Sandra DiPietro; brothers James DiPietro, Peter DiPietro and Geno DiPietro; grandchildren, Michelle Melder, Lance Melder, Toni Wells, Wendy Wells, Anthony DiPietro, Jodi DiPietro, Lauren DiPIetro and Alex DiPietro.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Blanche L DiPietro and brother, Marco DiPietro.
