November 18, 1928 - March 8, 2009
Mattie Comans, age 79, a resident of Waynesville, N. C., passed away on Sunday, March 8 at Hayward Regional Medical Center in Clyde, N.C.
She is survived by five daughters: Angie (Dave) Curphey of Bethel, N.C., Chris (Sterling) Spell of Covington, Carolyn Holland (Mickey Jaynes) of Waynesville, Cindy (Guy) May of Bethel, N.C. and Alisha Comans of Waynesville; two sons, Donnie (Opal Marie) Comans of Pearl, Miss. and Ronnie (Cheryl) Comans of Bogalusa; two sisters, Margaret Jones and Sue Glisson both of Jackson, Miss.; 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Hill Comans.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11. Visitation will continue on Thursday at New Life Pentecostal Church, 1600 Jefferson Street, Bogalusa, from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m.
Pastor Terry Reep and Bro. Wesley Quave will officiate, with interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
