Willie "W.C." Cochran, 73, passed away Friday, July 24 at Our Lady Of The Lake Regency Hospital in Baton Rouge. A native of Bogalusa, he was born May 23, 1936, and raised in Bogalusa but was a resident of Baton Rouge.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Cochran of Baton Rouge; a daughter, Tammy Carney of Clinton, Tenn.; two sons: Willie Cochran Jr. and Doug Mitchell, both of Bogalusa; a sister, LaDell Mitchell, and a brother, Louis Cochran, both of Bogalusa; eight grandchildren: Kyle Cochran, Angel Cochran, Anthony Cochran, Johnny Mitchell, Jake Mitchell, Abby Mitchell, James Carney and Joshua Carney and one great-grandson, Kyle Dawson Cochran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Cochran and Marie Carter Cochran.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 26 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bobby Ready officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery
