Rodney William Bankston, a resident of Bogalusa, LA, age 77, born on December 26, 2012 in Bogalusa, LA, passed away on March 22, 2012 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA.
He is survived by two sons, Alford Bankston and David Bankston both of Bogalusa, LA; three grandchildren, Amanda Lefler, Rhonda Bankston and Jered Bankston; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Lefler and Piper Bankston.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Spears Bankston; a step-daughter, Rhonda Dale Hunt; his parents, Dan Harrison Bankston and Della Dillon Bankston.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, March 25, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 26, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the Funeral Services at 2:30 P.M. The Rev Larry Jacobs will officiate with Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery.

BOGALUSA Dora Lee Spears Bankston, 70, a resident of Bogalusa, died yesterday in the LSU Medical Center in Bogalusa.
She is survived by her husband, Rodney W. Bankston of Bogalusa; two sons, Alford Clayton Bankston and David Bryan Bankston, both of Bogalusa; two sisters, Avis Edwards of Poplarville, and Willene Rose Fultz of Biloxi; and three grandchildren, Amanda Bankston of Slidell, Rhonda Sue Bankston of Hattiesburg, MS, and Jarod Bankston of Bogalusa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, B.J. and Effie Spears; a daughter, Rhonda Dale Hunt; and a son, Wendell Corey Bankston.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and will continue Monday from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Dr. Thomas R. Steele will officiate at the service.
Interment will follow in Ponemah Cemetery.
