Funeral services for Mrs. Maxine Bloomer Fondren, 85 of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, June 24, 2011, in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Dr. Alan Miller will be officiating.
Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Monroe, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mrs. Fondren was born December 1, 1925, in Jackson, MS, and passed away June 22, 2011, in Monroe, LA.
She was a long time member of First Baptist Church Monroe and she taught Sunday School for many years. Mrs. Fondren was retired from Sears as a snack manager.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hannah Theresa Fondren and her sister, Inez Gilliland.
She is survived by daughters, Kathleen Duffey and husband Roy, and Linda Fulmer and husband Rodger; son, Gary Bloomer and wife Billie; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael Bloomer, Roy Duffey Jr., Rodger Fulmer, Jr., Chandler Duffey, Brandon Bloomer and Dale Fulmer.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2011, from 12:00 noon until service time at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe.
