Beloved Wife of Elmer Black
January 15, 1949 - September 17, 2013

Mary "Madge" Black, 64, of Spearsville, La., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 15, 1949, in Three Creeks, to Odis and Sibyl Cole Lewis. Madge worked as manager of Factory Connection and was a member of Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her first husband, Benny McKenzie.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer Black of Spearsville; three daughters, Kimberly M. Waller (Wayne) of Parkers Chapel, Kellie N. Jolley of Three Creeks, and Kristal L. Jones (Sidney) of Parkers Chapel; two step-sons, the Rev. Marty Black (Tessa) of Clarksville, and Michael Black (Juandy) of Junction City; two step-daughters, Karen Black of Spearsville, and Angie Arender (Justin), missionaries to the Philippines; a brother, David Lewis (Karon) of Parkers Chapel; two sisters, Alice Ann Walker of Haynesville, La., and Joy Lewis (Jarvis) of Three Creeks; eight grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church in Spearsville with the Rev. Adam Holloway and the Rev. Rueben Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Directors.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church in Spearsville.
