Killed In Action
Enlisted in the Caldwell Guards May 17, 1861 at New Orleans, Louisiana. He re-enlisted February 1863 at Corinth, Mississippi, under the Conscript Act of May 8, 1862. He was killed June 21, 1863, in the trenches during the Union's siege of Vicksburg, Mississippi. (The National Archives, Publication M320, Roll 0122)
