BETTY PHELPS CARNEGIE, AGE 69
and a resident of Franklinton died Thursday afternoon February 12, 2015 at Riverside Medical Center. She often attended Springhill Baptist Church with her family and especially enjoyed listening and dancing to her brother play music with his band LA Express.
Survived by:
2 Daughters and a Son in law: Cindy and Grady Polkey, Sherry Spears all of Franklinton
Son and Daughter in law: Gilbert and Lisa Spears of Franklinton
6 Grandchildren: Brady and April Polkey, Joe Smith, Jonathan Spears, Jordan Spears, Kelli Spears, John Adams
4 Great-grandchildren: Preston Stogner, Cadyn Stogner, Ryan Polkey, Gracie Polkey
3 Sisters and Brothers in law: Mary Jane and Lonnie Allen of Folsom, Joyce and Danny Creel of Franklinton, Gail Phelps of Lewisville, MS
2 Brothers: John Phelps of Gulfport, Curtis Phelps of Franklinton Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Carnegie, daughter Vicki Spears, her parents John Phelps and Gertrude Walker Phelps, 2 sisters Dorothy Barber and Geneva Bell, brother Charles Phelps and sister in law Cindy Phelps.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday February 13th from 5 pm until 9 pm and after 10 m on Saturday. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Ricky Cook and Eld. Richard Magee officiating. Burial will follow in Nobles Cemetery.
