PINE - The funeral service for Walter Allen Strahan, 53, was held yesterday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.
Eld. Brent King and Eld. Billy Powell officiated, with burial following in the church cemetery.
Mr. Strahan died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at his residence in Pine. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra B. Strahan of Pine; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Candie Strahan of Gulfport, and Michael Strahan of Pine; a grandson, Matthew Strahan of Gulfport; his mother, Genevia T. Strahan of Pine; two brothers, James W. Strahan of Alabama, and Ronald W. Strahan of Pass Chrisrtian, MS; and a sister, Dorothy Jackson of McComb, MS.
Visitation was held Monday at Crain Funeral Home in Franklinton from 5 until 9 p.m. and continued yesterday at 9 a.m. at the church until time for the funeral service.
