BOGALUSA - Betty Jean Wells, age 69, died Wednesday at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS.
She was a native of Bogalusa and a resident of Poplarville, MS for the past seven years.
She is survived by three children, Dianne Pickett of Poplarville, MS, Kenneth Edward Wells of Bogalusa, and Carolyn Jean Head of Poplarville, MS; seven grandchildren and one great- grandchild, and one sister, Mrs Virgie Pickard Evans of Bogalusa.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Wells; her parents, John Walker Duncan and Bertie Stogner Duncan; three brothers, Condie Duncan, Brock Duncan and J.D. Duncan; one sister, Myrtle Lee Duncan.
Visitation is scheduled today from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will continue after 8 a.m. tomorrow at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be tomorrow at the funeral home tomorrow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Barry Duncan officiating.
Interment will follow in Morris Cemetery in Franklinton.
