A funeral service for Daisy Lee (Powell) Welch, age 92, of Lakeland, Florida, formerly a resident of Bossier City, LA will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Haughton, LA with Eastern Star Graveside Services to be conducted in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Daisy was born in Pineville, Louisiana on November 23, 1924 to James and Mary Anne (Book) Powell. She passed away at Kindred Hospital in Tampa, Florida on Saturday October 21, 2017.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 175 in Bossier City, LA and a lifelong member of the Episcopal Church.
Daisy is survived by her sons, James Welch and wife Sissy, Raymond Welch and wife Jean; grandchildren, James Welch (Cyndi), Michelle DeGrechie (James), Laura Sokalski (Matthew), and Timothy Welch. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren Christopher, Michael, Zachary, Sabrina, and Olivia.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Welch, USAF (Ret.); brother, Joseph Powell; and sister Dorothy Andes.
