BOGALUSA - James Jeffery "Jeff" McMillan, age 48, died Thursday, Oct. 13 in LSU Bogalusa Medical Center. A native and life-long resident of Bogalusa, he was employed by Joe Miles and Son Lumber Company for more than 30 years and at his death was quality control officer.
He is survived by three children, Timberly Lynn McMillan and Jeremy Lance McMillan, both of Bogalusa and Zachary Alexander McMillan of Foxworth, Miss.; his mother and father, Ludy Jane Thomas McMillan and James Wesley McMillan of Bogalusa; two sisters, Cheryl McBeth and her husband, L.O., and Lesa Wheat and her husband, Keith, all of Franklinton; two brothers, Richard McMillan of Lumberton and Danny McMillan and his wife Shannon of Bogalusa; his beloved friend and companion, Vicky Lyn Gaither and her daughter, Evelyn Thomas of Bogalusa; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, Oct. 15 from 5 to 10 p.m. in Brown-McGehee Funeral Home. The funeral service was held Sunday, Oct.16 at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Lynn Martin officiated, with interment following in the McGehee Cemetery, Bogalusa.
