From Louisiana Archives ~ Dugas, Z (also Dugas, Zephirien), Private Company D, 18th Louisiana Infantry. Enlisted September 26, 1862, Camp Pratt. Roll for January and February, 1863, Present. Guard at Provost Marshal's, New Iberia. Appears on Rolls of Prisoners of War, Captured Bayou Teche, Louisiana, April 14, or New Iberia, Louisiana, April 16, 1863. Sent to New Orleans, Louisiana, to be exchanged.
