BOGALUSA - Richard Doyle Adams, age 72, a resident of Bogalusa, Louisiana died Thursday, October 26, in the University of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama. He was a member and deacon of Pettitt Memorial Baptist Church, member of National Guard Headquar-ters 205th for 25 years, and a member of Adjutant General staff.
He is survived by daughter, Alecia (Allan) Applewhite of Bogalusa; son, Richard F (Angela) Adams of Bogalusa; brothers, Charles (Warrene) Adams of Lake Charles,Louisiana; Wayne (Jeanette) Adams of Monroe,Louisiana; Wayde (Marg-uerite) Adams of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandchildren, Luke (Denete) Applewhite of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Marshall (Amy) Applewhite of Baton Rouge,Louisiana; Clay (Brooke) Applewhite of Bogalusa,Louisiana; Whitney Adams of Bogalusa, and Nicholas Adams of Bogalusa; two great grandchildren, Gab-riel Applewhite and Blayne Applewhite.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ottis Jean Adams and a daughter Victoria Jean Adams.

October 4, 1932 - December 9, 1998
BOGALUSA - Ottis Jean Adams, age 66, died Wednesday at Columbia Lakeview Regional Medical Center.
She was an active member of Pettitt Memorial Baptist Church of Bogalusa.
She is survived by her husband, Richard D Adams of Bogalusa, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Richard F "Ricky" and Angela Adams of Bogalusa; daughter and son-in-law, Alecia and Allan Applewhite of Bogalusa; brother and sister-in-law, Durwood and Marie Alford of Bogalusa; sister, Melda Foil of Bogalusa; and five grandchildren, Luke Applewhite, Marshall Applewhite, Clay Applewhite, Whitney Adams, and Nicholas Adams.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Jean Adams; and her parents, Ottis and Angie Pierce Alford.
