Ocie Magee, 94, A life long resident of the Lawrence Creek Community passed away at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Riverside Medical Center
He was a longtime farmer, an avid gardener, a carpenter and a retiree of Borden Food Company.
He was a member of Lawrence Creek Baptist Church where he was the eldest member.
Survived by: 2 daughters and son in law: Juanita (R.B.) Tullos, Nellene Barber, Grandchildren and spouses: Myron and Judy Tullos, Amy Tullos, Michael and Shelia Barber; Mark and Katie Barber, Great grandchildren: Josh Tullos, Katelynn and Hannah Tullos, Tren and Brooke Barber, Elizabeth and Noah Barber.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years Roxie Barber Magee, son in law Ray Barber, parents Luke and Florence Magee, three brothers P.L. Crockett, Ott Magee and Lat Magee, two sisters Bertha Stafford and Lorena Woodward.
Visitation will be held after 10 AM Friday, October 23, 2009 until time of funeral service to be held at 2 PM at Lawrence Creek Baptist Church with Eld. Lerand Hunt and Eld. Don Jacobs officiating. Interment will follow in the Magee Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Billy Knight, Linus Magee, Bolivar Magee, Josh Tullos, Alex Lewis and Matt Stogner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be J.S. Thomas, Ray Thomas, Dr. Jerry Thomas, Monroe McElveen, Howard Sheridan, John Breland, J.M. Barber, James Creel, Jed Jenkins, George Jenkins.
