Vernon "Hack" Jenkins(Died October 11, 1998) FRANKLINTON- Vernon "Hack" Jenkins, age 64, died Sunday morning at his residence in Franklinton.He was owner/operator of Jenkins Floor Covering in Franklinton for many years. He was a veteran of the Korean War.He is survived by two sons, Ricky and Randy Jenkins, both of Franklinton; four brothers, Wayne Jenkins, Everett "Slim" Jenkins, George Jenkins, all of Franklinton, and Victor Jenkins of New Orleans; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Sweetie Magee Jenkins. Visitation was held at the Crain Funeral Home yesterday from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and this morning after 8 a.m. Funeral service was scheduled for today at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Thomas L. Graves, the Rev. Gene Richards, the Rev. Otho Schilling and the Rev. Luther Stanford officiating. Interment will be in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.
