FRANKLINTON -- Nola Taylor Hatley, age 82, a native and resident of Franklinton and former resident of New Iberia, died at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 at her residence. She worked in catalog sales for Sears, she was a member of First Baptist Church and the A. W. Robbins Sunday School Class.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law,
Val and JoAnn Hatley of Sugarland, Texas and Von and Rachael Hatley of New Orleans; four grandchildren, Jeremy Hatley, Sarah H. Schmidt, Caitlin Hatley and Oliver Hatley; and one brother, J.W. Taylor of Franklinton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard A. Hatley; four sisters, Lola Cooper, Ella Rogers, Margane Davis and Mary Whaley; and one brother, Charlie Taylor.
Visitation was held at Crain Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 1, and continued after 10 a.m. today. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel. Ben Morgan and Eld. Lerand Hunt will officiate, with burial to follow in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.
