Funeral services for Charles "Scott" Terrell, 48, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 28, 2015, in the chapel at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Terrell was born November 2, 1966, and passed away Monday, August 24, 2015. He graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1984 and attended Northeast Louisiana University. Scott was a successful insurance agent and had been with Colonial Life for the past 16 years. He received numerous Leadership and President Conference Awards and was a member of the Million Dollar Round Table. Scott was also a licensed U.S. Coast Guard Captain. He moved to Hackberry, LA a few years ago and enjoyed fishing with his wife and friends. He loved living on the water and enjoyed life to the fullest. Scott never met a stranger, was always smiling, and would help anyone in need. He had so many friends and made a new one nearly every day. Everyone will remember him as a great friend with a one-of-a-kind laugh. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his mother, Leah Terrell; father, Charles "Butch" Terrell; and grandmother, Mattie Morehead.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Kim; stepson, Dustin Land and wife Brooke; sisters-in-law, Kristi Dodd May and husband Gaylon, Amber Dodd Wilkerson and husband Tab, Darlene Dodd Amos and husband Ron; mother-in-law, Carolyn Hudson; father-in-law, Dan Dodd and wife Ladonna; brother-in-law, Troy Dodd and wife Glenda; his four legged buddies, Baxter, Collie, Louie, and Mattie; special friends, Floyd Stutes, Buddy Bonk, Greg Rhodes, Darren Mitchell, Tom Scott, Jr., and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Greg Rhodes, Todd Trichel, Buddy Bonk, Billy Hance, Floyd Stutes, and Bradley Adair.
