DOROTHY ELLA WELCH WOOD, AGE 82

And a resident of Franklinton died at 11:45 am Tuesday June 3, 2014 at her home. She was a graduate of Franklinton High School and a renowned hairdresser in the Mandeville and Covington areas. Dorothy was the owner of the former Pizzazz and Razz-Ma-Tazz hair salons. She was an avid outdoorswoman who enjoyed fishing most of all. She had a special place inher heart for her pet Chihuahua Molly. Her greatest accomplishment was being a devoted mother to her three children, who love her dearly and will miss her greatly.

Survived by:

2 Daughters and Sons in law: Debbie and David Quintana of Walker, Donna and John Wolff of Baton Rouge

Son and Daughter in law: Daryl and Tina Corkern of Franklinton

10 Grandchildren: John Quintana, Amber Quintana, Tonya Halford, Jessica Spence, Linda "ReRe" Spears, Bobby Spears, III, Tyler Williams, Powers Wolff, IV, Richard Wolff and Diana Wolff

8 Great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Wood, her parents John Carter Welch and Ruby Crowe Welch and a sister Frankie Stringfield.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday June 6th from 10 am until 1 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Hezekiah Magee Cemetery.
