Graveside services for Mrs. Ethel A Chance, 80, are scheduled for 11 am Thursday at the Mer Rouge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10:30 am at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Chance, a farmer, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012. She was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church.
Miss Ethel is preceded in death by husband, Roscoe Chance; her parents, Harvey James Carney, Sr (1898-1979) and Mertie Iona Tarver Carney (1904-2001); and her brother, Dennis Carney.
Mrs. Chance is survived by her sister, Florence Eskew of Bastrop, La; her brothers, Harvey James Carney, Jr of Bastrop, La, Floyd Carney of Bastrop, La and Virgil Carney of Bastrop, La and a host of nieces and nephews.
