Husband of Larcie Lamenda Simmons Sturdivant

On April 20th, after an illness extending over many months, J.E. Sturdivant aged 49 years, died at his home in Jenkins, La., just three miles south of Franklinton.
Mr. Sturdivant married a Franklinton girl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.N. Simmons, and they resided in Franklinton a great portion of their married life, Mr. Sturidivant holding his membership here in the Methodist church at the time of his death.
The funeral was preached by Rev. L.N. Hoffpauir at Enon church on Sunday morning at 10 am with interment in the Enon cemetery.
Deceased is survived by is wife and four children to whom the deepest sympathy of this community is extended thru these columns.
