Wife of John Randolph Wood

In Memorial.
On Friday morning Nov. 18th, at her residence. Mrs. Emily Wood died after only a day's illness. Mrs. Wood was 73 years old; was born in Louisiana and was a life long resident of Franklinton. She was the mother of a large family all of whom are settled in their own homes, and with her life's work ended this devoted mother seemed to gently fold the draperies of her couch about her and lie down to peaceful rest. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. C. Wilson from the Methodist Church where she had been a member for many years.
The end was as peaceful as the close of a beautiful summer day, when daylight fades into night with increasing loveliness.
"So He giveth His beloved sleep."
