GULFPORT --- Opal Irene Thompson, 90, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2002, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of Louisiana and a longtime resident of Gulfport. She was of the Methodist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Francis Thompson; her parents, Miles S. and Pearl Cone; a brother, Malcolm Cone; and a sister, Sylvia Miller.
Survivors include a son, Edward C. Thompson of Gulfport.
Services will be private.
Burial will be in Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton, La., directed by Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis.
