BOGALUSA - Othmar William Schnellenberger, Sr., 68, a resident of Mt. Hermon and a native of St. Minard, Indiana, died Friday, August 30th, at 4:40 p.m. at the Riverside Medical Center in Franklinton.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Schnellenberger; a daughter, Mrs. Yvonne S. Maylon of Birmingham, Alabama; three sons, Othmar Schnellenberger, Jr. of Burlington, Kentucky, Ralph Schnellenberger of Independence, and Albert M. Schnellenberger of Mt. Hermon; two stepsons,
Raymond Bergeron and Robert Bergeron, both of Marrero; two sisters; a stepsister; four brothers; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The body lay in state at the McKneely Funeral Home in Kentwood until the time for funeral services, which were conducted at 9 a.m. Monday, September 2nd, at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Franklinton with the Rev. Fr.John LeBlanc officiating.
Interment was in the Ellis Cemetery.
