Audrey Marie Stafford Pittman

Audrey Marie Stafford Pittman, 87, died early Saturday, March 24, 2012 at her home in Franklinton, surrounded by family and friends. She was born June 2, 1924 in the Bonner Creek Community and was a retail clerk at Blair's and later Forshag's Drugs. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Franklinton and was a member of the Gleaner's Sunday school class. During her years at FBC she taught Sunday school and Sunbeams and was an active member of the WMU, Merry Hearts, and the Senior Adult choir.

She enjoyed crocheting afghans and doilies, embroidering pillow cases and making quilts which she lovingly gave to family and friends. Often during the early mornings of the spring and fall she would be found working in her garden or flower beds.

She is survived by two daughters, Dot and Joseph Juneau of McComb, Miss.and Mary Pittman of Jackson, Miss.; two grandsons, Daryl (April) Trusty of Maxwelton, W.V. and Craig (Courtney) Juneau of Memphis, Tenn.; three great-grandsons, Dawson Trusty, Eli Trusty and Ian Juneau; two sisters, Gloria (James) Blackwell of Bush and Barbara (Art) Bullock of Fruitland, Idaho; ane a sister-in-law, Grace Magee of Pine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Pittman; an infant daughter, Donna Sue Pittman; her parents, Eddie Stafford and Zula Corkern Stafford; a brother, J.C. Stafford; and an infant brother, Jesse Stafford.

Visitation will be Friday, March 30 at Crain Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Paul Watts officiating. Burial will follow in Ellis Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church for the Annie Armstrong Easter offering.

Pallbearers are Jack Anderson, David Blackwell, Michael Blackwell, W.E. Knight III, Wayne Fleming and Jerry Fruge Sr.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice of St. Tammany for their care and support.
