November 16, 1916 - December 11, 2000
FRANKLINTON - Eddie Weems Mizell, 84, a resident of Franklinton, Louisiana died yesterday at 2 am in Riverside Medical Center. He was a retired linotype printer for The Era Leader and Delta Printing Company, a World War II veteran, a member of Homer Magee Post 113 American Legion, also a member of Latimore Passman Post 7196 VFW, and a member of Centenary United Methodist
Church.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews, Jerry and Barbara Simmons, Sara Simmons Newman, Jeremy Simmons, Tonya Simmons and Scott Wilkinson, Kim Newman, all of Jackson, Mississippi, Peggy and Robert Overby, Alvin and Barbara Williams, and Kenny and Linda Mason, all of Virginia; and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Evelyn Newcomb Mizell; sister Christine Mizell Simmons; and his mother Vera Poole Chester Mizell.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home after 10 am tomorrow until time of funeral service at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev Lyndel Bullard and Rev James Poole officiating.
Burial will follow in the Ellis Cemetery.
Crain Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
