FRANKLINTON n Edith Crain McElveen, 78, a resident of Franklinton, died at 8 a.m. yesterday in St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
She was a retired clerk with the Washington Parish Health Unit, a member of First Baptist Church and the A.W. Robbins Sunday School Class, and a member of Noble
Queen Chapter No. 45 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a two sons and a daughter-in-law, Richard and Kay McElveen, and Jimmy McElveen; grandsons Trey and Lori Branch, and Joshua and Colt McElveen; a
granddaughter, Allison McElveen; great-grandchildren, Torie and Raif Branch; sisters and brothers-in-law, Billie and Hollis Stafford, and Jane and Billy Wayne Rester, all of Franklinton; a sister-in-law, Beryl Crain of Baton Rouge; a special nephew, Bob Crain; a special niece, Beth Stafford; and other nieces and nephews, Renee' Crain,
Janis Dassault, and Jonathan and Bill Knight.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pope and Olivia Bickham Crain; and a brother, Robert Crain.
Visitation will be held at Crain Funeral Home from 6-8:30 p.m. today and will from 9:30 a.m. tomorrow until the chapel funeral service at 2 p.m. The Revs. Karl Tingle,
Denny Brumfield and Frederick Brumfield will officiate at the service.
Burial will be in the Ellis Cemetery.
