WOODROW L. McELVEEN, age 67
and a resident of Mt. Hermon died at 5:00 AM Sunday, May 04, 2008 at his residence.
He was a retired lineman and dispatcher with WST Electric Co-op. with 39 years of service and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survived by: Wife: Verta Mae Holmes McElveen of Mt. Hermon Son and Daughter in law: Lee and Tammy Douglas of Mt. Hermon 2 Daughters and sons in law: Marilyn and Jared Neck of Clinton Angela and Mike Stafford of Mt. Hermon 8 Grandchildren: Steven Douglas, Amber Douglas, Jenna Fabre, Casey Fabre, Sierra Stafford, Trevor Stafford, Laynea Stafford and Sadie Stafford 2 Great-grandchildren: Sienna Fabre and Isabella Cooper 2 Brothers: James D. McElveen of Baton Rouge Monroe L. McElveen of Franklinton Numerous nieces and nephews Preceded in death by a daughter Belinda McElveen; parents Robert and Mamie McElveen; sister Linda Cooper and brother John Henry McElveen.
Visitation at Crain Funeral Home from 5 PM until 10 PM Monday, May 5 and after 9 AM Tuesday until time for the funeral service at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stan Statham and Rev. Otha Schilling officiating. Burial in the Ellis Cemetery.
