Leontine Treadaway Hingle, 96, a native of Port Sulphur, LA,
longtime resident of Picayune and a resident of Franklinton died last Friday at her
residence. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Franklinton and the
widow of Ernest A. Hingle.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley T. Sanborn of Metairie, Rosemary H. Hand
of Zachary, Elaine H. Stromeyer of Baton Rouge and Lois H. Knight of Picayune,
MS; 24 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ernest G. Hingle Sr; and her parents, George
and Leontine Solis Treadaway.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home today from 4-9 p.m. and will continue
tomorrow after 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church until time for the Mass at
noon with Fr. Bill Blank officiating.

Interment will follow in the Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton.
